On Oct 4th, the Project Vivant studio featured the first session of the Process talks. An evening dedicated to the creative story of the artists. Featured this night were 3 local artists. Andrea Pena Choreographer/Designer, Will Allen Wildlife Adventure photographer/filmmaker, and Val Thomas Singer Song writer. Each artist had a chance to present their work with a live interview and Q & A session that followed.
PROCESS TALKS was born from an idea to tell the story of an artist in the creative process. A chance for you the viewer to have a face to face encounter with artists of all genres as they go from an idea to the final product. An evening for the advocacy for the arts, to be seen, heard and experienced beyond any border. Finally a opportunity for the community to get together and involved in supporting artists directly.
The Process talks will be a monthly event. Featuring new creatives both locally and internationally. To see all the upcoming events, interviews and exhibitions follow and like these social media platforms to stay informed.
The next process talks will be taking place on NOV 2nd, at the Project Vivant studio, starting at 8pm.

Revealing an authentic Cuba through her eyes as a modern day flaneur. Exploring, observing and documenting life from moment to moment. Using photography and painting as the mediums to express. After she packed her bags and headed once again to Cuba in November to continue her documentation, with the intention to finish a book in 2017. To check out the latest on Cuba, follow the link HERE.
On May 15th, I held the Spring edition Sunday Yoga & Wellness at the Project Vivant Studios. A lovely day dedicated to mindfulness through awakening and awareness of our senses. We did Yoga to first connect with ourselves through breath and movement. Then turned to connect with each other through a eye contact experiment. After, we all came together to enjoy a healthy wellness meal and listen to a presentation on herbs and super foods for the spring season. I'm presently brainstorming for the location and date for the Summer edition of the next wellness event. Please stay tuned for all the details.

As many of you know I'm a Flaneur of Urban landscapes. Usually with a camera in hand I like to hit the streets and observe, explore and create. Selected photographs gathered will be exhibited on this day for the workshop and the opening Launch party.
I'm asking you!!!! What is it that captures your interests? Your observations on how you portrayed a city. What is it that you see!! Perhaps its the people, the Architecture, the Arts, the shapes, textures, light, shadow, whatever it is that you chosen or will choose to capture, I want to celebrate these expressions.

On July 11th, i presented my newest work of photography and paintings from my recent solo trip to Cuba. My intention for my travels was to be like a Flaneur, and just observe with all senses. I expressed my observations through three mediums, writing , photography and paintings. Exhibiting for the show two of them. While I was there, I took the time to go to the streets to look, listen and feel what was there. With my camera and sketchbook in hand I recorded it. Getting a real chance to capture a More Authentic Cuba.
Here are a few shots from the show.
On April 19th, Project Vivant invited Donald Micallef to the loft to lead a workshop on the Art of Meditation.
Project Vivant celebrated the holiday season with music. Presenting a array of different emerging artists. Thanks to ZuZu petals, Courtney Wing, Jan Dulter, and Pierrick Hamonet for entertaining us that night.
Raw Perspective was a photo exhibition featuring the photography of Montreal by Jennifer Cloutier.
In September I sent a call out for photo submissions for the "Just living" photo project. The project's intention was to receive and exhibit photography on the theme " Just Living." What did this word mean to you in your life and how would you describe it in imagery. It was a great success for a few reasons. I left it without a boundary on skill level of the photographer. So I welcomed anyone from novice to advanced. I also left it limitless with the subject matter as it was really up to the viewer what being alive look like or perhaps even felt like for them. In the end I received over 45 images. Exhibiting for viewing on October 2nd. I also asked for people to submit brief stories or descriptions of their photos if they wanted to. I think it was important to tell a bit about why you chose that photo. The community of Project Vivant became that much bigger with the idea of leaving things more inclusive to all then exclusive to a few.
Correlating with this event was a Breath seminar workshop led by my lovely Genevieve Laquerre
The Project Vivant Launch consisted of 3 mediums. Photography, Dance and Film. The two photographers that were on displayed were Jennifer Cloutier and Andrea Pena. Jennifer Cloutier was displaying her recent work from Cuba and Andrea Pena was exhibiting photography taken from travels to New York. There were three filmmakers who projected three short films. Eduardo Menz, Raphaelle Garcia and Santiago Ruiztorres. Lastly we had a amazing dance performance from the talented Morgane Le Tiec. It was a fabulous night with a fantastic turnout.
