PROJECT VIVANT studio invites you to the SEVENTH session of PROCESS TALKS. An evening dedicated to promoting & supporting an artist in the creative process.  

PROCESS TALKS was born from an idea to tell the story of an artist in the creative process. A chance for you the viewer to have a face to face encounter with artists of all genres. An evening for the advocacy for the arts, to be seen, heard and experienced beyond any border. Finally a opportunity for the community to get together and be involved in supporting artists directly.

THE EVENING INTENTIONS

INTERVIEW- Each artists will be invited to share their creative story and process through a live interview given between Jennifer and the artist. 

PROMOTION- Following the interview a brief presentation will be given by the artist, revealing their thoughts, pieces, and work past, present and future.  Giving them a chance to share and promote their creative lives to the audience. 

Q & A.- Following the live interview and presentation, an opportunity will be provided to the community to ask questions directly to the artist.

INVESTMENT- $10.00

With all proceeds going to the process project and the artist involved.

Robin McKenna- Director/ Producer /Writer.

Robin McKenna is director, producer and writer of GIFT, a feature-length documentary & crossmedia project inspired by Lewis Hyde’s classic  The Gift. She is currently making Thanadoula, a short animated documentary fairytale about a real-life “death doula”, co-produced with the NFB.  Recently she directed a short film with actress Geneviève Bujold, produced by the NFB for the Governor General’s Awards.

Robin grew up in Montréal, and began making films with La Course destination monde.  Her film The Great War Experience won Yorkton Film Festival’s Founders’ Award. She was producer and associate director of The Jungle Prescription, for CBC's The Nature of Things, about ayahuasca, medicine and healing, with Dr. Gabor Maté.

Stéphane Cocke- Multi disciplinary artist

Stéphane Cocke has been at the heart of Montreal’s cultural life as a multi-faceted artist whether as a photographer, dj or video maker over the past 20 years. He’s always bringing closer the boundaries between sound and images through his professional and personal experiences. 

His first love being photography, he has a multiple practice combining everyday life image capturing, travels and various clients such as architects and art organisms such as MU a non-profit mural company based in Montreal. He received a Juno award in 2010 for an album cover of Beats on Canvas created by Thomas Csano. He also did a solo photo exhibit at the Maison de la Culture Frontenac entitled ‘’CHANTIER: la Grande Bibliothèque Avant la Lettre’’ in 2003. More recently he self-published two photo books:’’SAYARI’’, about a Rajastani gypsy family and the other ‘’MAGIC INSTANTS’’ of his daily discoveries with his iPhone.

He is an accomplished worldwide dj . Performing at events such as the FIFA, Festival Internaltional de Jazz, les Francofolies to only name a few. Collaborating extensively with the Cirque du Soleil all over the world. 

Production wise, he’s had 2 collaborations with Juno winner Miguel Graça: ‘’Somesay’’ and ‘’New Reality’’ (Bombay Records). ‘’Somesay’’ has also been used as the theme of an international fashion and design tv show : ‘’d’’ that reached a 200 million audience on TV5. On the radio, he hosted and produced ‘’Groove Cocketail’’ for 10 years on CIBL FM in Montreal. Combining both his visual and musical talents he creates videos or stop-animations for various companies and artists such as Carlito Dalceggio, MU, Loreal, International Startup Festival etc...

Whatever media I’m working with, I’m always building the narrative by creating sequences either with songs in a dj set, video editing or making a photo book.

Jennifer Cloutier is a Canadian visual artist and the creative producer to the Process Project. Using such mediums as photography, painting, filmmaking and writing to express herself and tell the story of the things she observes in the everyday, and the people she has met along the way. The Project project began with a question on WHY Create? Leading to a deeper curiosity of her creative process as well as others. The Process project are raw and unfiltered interviews by Jennifer Cloutier with creatives worldwide, of all genres from emerging to established.

Revealing each of the unique artistic story and creative process. This project is documented in order to promote and support the arts to be seen, heard and experienced beyond any border.
